PRODUCTION DAY 5:
cassie was not in this morning so i got on with editing the film even more and put the photo's onto flicker for the rest of the group, being the editer i have all the work on my laptop, in the afternoon we will be re-filming the opening sequence with different shots because at the moment is all mid-shot, when re-filming i will be putting different ones in like close up, over the shoulder mid and long shots of cassie in the toilets then editing the film into the already edited movie... if that makes sense?

PRODUCTION DAY 4
We started filming today in the woods but we didnt have the right props so we had to start from the middle of the film where cassie wakes up after passing out on alcohol and drugs, we were all really motivated and got a lot of good shots, but the weather was so cold we come in and started to edit the film, in editing i got the film up on final cut and photoshop, cut the parts of the film where it went wrong, edited the colour and put the music onto the film.

PRODUCTION DAY 3:
Today we went to go light painting in the woods because we thought it would be a good idea to do it where the filming is taken place, but after a few tries of the light painting we realised it was to light outside and the picture was too over exposed so we knew from then it would have to be in a dark room.

PRODUCTION DAY 2: light painting - 2nd
after a few go's of light painting it become easier but they still looked a little weird because my writing with my right hand is really terrible, but with everyone in my groups input and all having a go we got a pretty decent last go of light painting, after i uploaded the photo's onto flicker then opened photoshop and edited the contrast, colour and size of the image to give a multi tonal image.

PRODUCTION DAY 1: light painting sessions
my idea for the opening sequence in our short film is to use light painting the word "Trapped" with the light from my lighter using a Nikon digital camera. The first time i tried to do the light painting didn't go very well because me the room was too light so this was the out-come of the first attempt, for a first attempt i think we done pretty well, the most challenging part of light painting is remembering to write backwards with my right hand, this was difficult because im left handed :)

light painting tutorial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IS-DBZEXcA
this video is a tutorial of how to do light painting witch is what we are using in the opening sequence for a short movie, it explains what you need, how to do it, what setting you need your camera and more, this video helped me and cassie to get the right settings for us to achieve the perfect opening sequence for our film.
light painting is opening the shutter long enough to use a light source, first you need to get a camera, with the exposure settings to 10-15 seconds, you also need a tripod to keep your camera still and lastly a light source either a flash light or a strobe light, the camera you use has to have a manual mode, this allows us to adjust the shutter speed

film making: opening sequence
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-nVfx7Rvrc
this video uses istop motion, the light painting on this video at about 2minutes in is the type of effects in our film, this idea is unique and me and cassie are going to make this effect this lesson.

find your tribe!
when i saw my "find your tribe" results, I wasn't actually surprised because i do have my hair different colours all the time, i listen the stereotypical scene/indie music and i am pretty much everything it says. i'm happy with this result and i wouldnt want to re-do it because i dont want it to say im a street rat or something :D
trapped mood board
in this lessson i made my "trapped" moodboard, these photo's represent the things that happen and the setting of our film in process, used the letters in light to show the istop motion im going to use in the opening sequence to start with, then the spit pathway because in our film me and cassie are stuck between the road we know and miss the party we were going to or the pathway through the woood witch is the way we aren't really sure of. each one of these pictures tell the story of our film in process.
horror stills mood board
this mood board represents the concept of our genre witch is horror thriller each one of these pictures got us thinking and that's how we got the initial idea of the film we our now doing. this was made on photoshop using a different layer each photo.
target audience
For this task we picked a particular target audience member and searched for the different TV Shows, music, brands and games that would associate with them.
I think this target audience member would listen too music from the charts of today, watch shows comedies like skins, misfits or something made for teenagers such as The Inbetweeners. I would think that this target audience member would watch either a horror films like the hills run red or the last house on the left. Its most likely that this target audience member would use the internet for Facebook, and YouTube.
